'Aston Villa\'s lead sports scientist, Jack Sharkey, has shared some of his favorite drills to help his athletes improve their aerobic capacity. See how you stack up against some of the best footballers in the Premier League. This run is the what Ian Holloway uses to decide whether a player is fit. The principle is simple, run the full pyramid in as quick a time as possible. Aston Villa requires players to complete the full run in under 3:30. Would you make the squad? The sequence is as follows: -Run 20 yards and back -Run 40 yards and back -Run 60 yards and back -Run 80 yards and back -Run 100 yards and back -Run 80 yards and back -Run 60 yards and back -Run 40 yards and back -Run 20 yards and back Give this drill a try, and let us know how you compare to the professionals by tagging @playrbycatapult on Instagram or Facebook!
